KoschtIT Image Gallery is a free and open-source image gallery PHP-script. It can be used to add image galleries to existing webpages very easily. The appearance of each gallery can be individually customized. The only prerequisite for using the script is PHP5 with GD2 support. The pictures aren't displayed in an extra window, instead they are opened directly on top of your HTML document. Therefore your website background gets shaded.
There is also an admin panel, which enables the site administrator to write picture comments and edit gallery settings. Gallery visitors can write viewer comments to any picture. Navigation via keyboard is available too. More features are: slidewhows, automatic thumb generation, image to window size reduction, image preloading, previews for the next/last picture, show geotagging information (via EXIF) ...
Demo
In order to get a first impression here you have a small demo. You can show single pictures as well as gather a set of pictures to a gallery.

script in endlosschleife?posted by phoenix on 10/04/2009
Skript: http://www.verein-phoenix.at/gallery/ki_base/ki_js_framework.php?reldir=gallery/:360
---------
Dann sollte alles gehen.

Hi there. How can I make the galary bigger to fit the whole page?
» Press the "maximize"-button in the bottom right corner of each gallery. This feature is only available since v2.0 .
big images not loaded...posted by Martin Rogner on 08/03/2009 martin[do_t]rogner[a_t]gmx[do_t]at
Very great!
My only problem is that big images (2,2 mb) are not displayed in full mode. The "wait-Square" is shown all the time and nothing goes on.
Ideas?
» Most likely your host has limited the amout of memory PHP can allocate. The only solution to this is to find one, who allows more memory or to reduce the image size by yourself before you upload the pictures.

is there a way to pass heigth attribute if I would like to see all pictures in the gallery on the page at the same time without using next page button?
» Set the $thumbs parameter to the amount of pictures you have in a gallery. This way you won't see the next page button.
php 5.3.0 problemposted by Sener on 07/22/2009 snraydin[a_t]yahoo[do_t]com
Does the script not work on php 5.3.0 or another problem? I tested it on php 5.2.1 everything is ok but when I try it on php 5.3.0 there is only a white page.
» Script version 2.1 will support PHP 5.3.0 . If you disable error reporting in PHP version 2.0 may work too.

HI,
I was very happy to find your imagegallery, it is just what i was looking for and looks great!
But.....on my localserver it works perfect but when i uploaded the website to my server it didn't work at all.
I contacted the host (hostway) and they told me i m beeing hosted on a "windows hostingplan" , here there is no GD library.
They offer me a "Linux hostingplan" , here they provide a GD version 2.0 or higher.
Is this the sulution you think?
Hope to hear from you soon....
Patricia
» I don't know anything about the details of those hostway hosting solutions. If the GD2 library is available, than the script will run properly.
