KoschtIT Image Gallery is a free and open-source image gallery PHP-script. It can be used to add image galleries to existing webpages very easily. The appearance of each gallery can be individually customized. The only prerequisite for using the script is PHP5 with GD2 support. The pictures aren't displayed in an extra window, instead they are opened directly on top of your HTML document. Therefore your website background gets shaded.
There is also an admin panel, which enables the site administrator to write picture comments and edit gallery settings. Gallery visitors can write viewer comments to any picture. Navigation via keyboard is available too. More features are: slidewhows, automatic thumb generation, image to window size reduction, image preloading, previews for the next/last picture, show geotagging information (via EXIF) ...

Demo

In order to get a first impression here you have a small demo. You can show single pictures as well as gather a set of pictures to a gallery.

Hello,
I came across your image gallery script website (KoschtIT) and really liked what I saw. It looks like you have put allot of time into developing your image gallery script.

I currently run a small web hosting company and after looking at your scripts server specs I believe our web hosting would work excellent in conjunction with your script. I am curious if you would be interested in exchanging links with my website. I would love to make a dedicated page for your image gallery script, similar to ones we already have made for other script developers. The page would link back to your site so our visitors could easily visit your site and download your image hosting script after purchasing web hosting. You can see a couple example pages here:
http://www.dualrack.com/jakcms-hosting
http://www.dualrack.com/wsnlinks-hosting

All I would ask for in return is a link back to our web hosting company on one of your pages. It would be great if you could recommend us to your visitors to host their image gallery websites. While at the same time, we can inform our visitors of other image gallery scripts out there that they can download and use.

Let me know how this sounds to you! Thanks
Andrew W.

Thumbmails
posted on 05/29/2010

Hi there. first of all - great script!

got a question about the cropping(well i think it is). When in thumbmails view all my pictures are cutted in the edges and thus some pics are missing important elements. Can i make it somehow that the thumbmail didn't cut the edges off?

thanx

Subfolders
posted by Mare on 05/08/2010

Hello,
first of all kudos on the script, i like it alot.
My question is about using subfolder to store pics and how to direct the gallery to the desired subfolder.
For example:
if the image folder structure look like this
/archive/summer/*.jpg
/current/summer/*.jpg
/myfav/summer/*jpg
I cant seem to manage to get the script to read subfolders. Im making a gallery for a friend and he has such folder structure and would be REALLY usefull if i didnt have to change it coz he's got alot of photos and he likes to have them organzied like that hehe.

Thank you for your time and thanks for the script, hope I'll be able to donate in the near future, I want to see you develop it further

Regards,
Mare

» You can't change the folder structure of the script. All image galleries must be in a folder inside the ki_galleries-folder. Maybe you could use symbolic links to get your folder strucure mapped to the structure of the script?

Reverse Alphabetical Order
posted by Tucker Chase on 05/04/2010 tuckerchase[a_t]lycos[do_t]com www.chasetree.com

Implementation of reverse alphabetical order would be great. With all the different types of naming conventions out there, this would really help.

» Something I could easily add for the next script version.

Including on subpages
posted by homershines on 04/29/2010 homershines[a_t]yahoo[do_t]com

Greetings.
I have been using the Gallery for a little while now quite successfully in GetSimple CMS.
Recently though, I have had problems with the gallery showing on subpages.
Is there anything that I can do to solve this?

Thanks.

» You should raise your question at the GetSimple CMS forum. I don't know what this has to do with the script. Sorry, but I can't help you with this.

Hi, I am really loving your script! Is it possible to have it see the contents of sub folers within ki_galleries?

Thanks - Greg

Unwanted red cross
posted by Evina on 03/31/2010 hawieff[a_t]xs4all[do_t]nl www.the-small-castle.nl

When I start slideshow, appears in the left upperside a red cross. How can I avoid that.
I use IE8

Kind regards,
Evina

» Are you talking about the close button? If so, you can switch it off with the $show_image_nav parameter. You can close the gallery/slideshow with the ESC button afterwards.
