One suggestion and one question

Hello,

First of all i would like to thank for such a nice script.

Just one suggestion, it would be great to customize that nice info button there. For example if it was possible to move comments there would be very nice...

And one question; is there a way to give an external link directly to the maximized view of the gallery?

wie kann ich die Sortierung der Thumbs ändern? Ich würde gerne nach Name auf-/absteigend oder nach Erstellungsdatum auf-/absteigend sortieren können.

have a gallery with 37 pics in it. Somehow not all of the images are displayed.

tried to change their size and weight - but to help . images are not corrupted, i can easily open them in browser (i use Firefox)

Hallo,
hatte alles vor ca einem Jahr erfolgreich zum laufen gebracht,
aber nach einfügen einer neuen Gallerie (Ordnername: Camino),
kommt nicht mal ein Fehler, sondern der Browser findet die Camino.php nicht.
Ich weiß nicht mehr genau, wie die ursprüngliche Ordnerstruktur war, jedenfalls werden die Gallerien über ein extra php-Skript im Unterordner html aufgerufen, in denen sich dann ein ganz normales html-Dokument befindet, das den div eingebunden hat. Die Unterordner comments und thumbs habe ich auch selbst angelegt und vorerst ein Testbild eingestellt.

Unter den links "mehr bilder..." kommt man zu den gallerien. Bei dem Pflaster "Camino" führt der Link auf eine seltsame Ersatzseite.
Obwohl der Aufruf genauso gestaltet ist, wie die anderen, die wunderbar funktionieren.

Vielleicht liegt es auch an 1&1 ??? Oder wird die php-Datei vom Skript normalerweise automatisch erstellt?

Hallo,

ich habe eben das script installiert, funzt wunderbar.
habs auf 2 servern am laufen auf dem ersten gehts mit beiden browsern (IE und Mozilla)

beim 1. server geht leider der schwarze hintergrund (nur im IE8) nicht! im firefox geht er. hier mal der link zur seite:

was bedeutet das rote viereck oben links am rand wenn ich auf die thumbs klicke?

woran liegts das der hintergrund auf dem einen server mit dem IE8 geht und auf dem anderen nicht?

This is my first attempt at integrating Koschtit Gallery into a website. It was so very easy that I almost feel I must be doing something wrong!
Currently over 500 photos in 13 albums and growing rapidly...

Hello, ich kenn mich mit javascript überhaubt nicht aus aber diese gallery ist super und ich will keine andere verwenden. Nur habe ich das Problem das ich zwei verschieden Border brauche auf den Hauptfotos gibt es da eine lösung ?

Hi there,

I am using the script Version 2.3b, the script is just great, thank you very much! I have however these questions, could someone help?

1) I have one single thumb in my thumb-gallery. When I click the thumb, the picture shows up as usual but keeps displying this message "undefined variable pwok in ki-fullimg.php on line 211", why this happens? This error message shows up also in slideshow everytime when the picture switch from one to the next.

2) My

is placed in a table cell which is 620px x 600px (width x height), I set this for the thumbnails width and height as well and I have "$th_to_square = 0", but I just did not manage to fit my single thumb seemlessly into my table cell, which has the same dimension as my thumb (there is always some 10px background space left behind at the bottom part of my table cell), any idea for this? If you need me to send my settings in my ki_setup.php, I can send it over, please ask for this.

I would be so grateful if someone can help me find out a solution.

Issue with next/prev image preview

The site functions perfectly, and I really love to use this script (tried MANY of them).

But there's one thing that bothers me: when I move my mouse to the left or to the right (not the farthest left/right) next to the image, it shows the next/prev image in a zoom like effect (the more the mouse is far from the image, the more the preview gets bigger).

I think that this is really unaesthetic and I would like to change it with symbols like "<" and ">" obviously stylized. Take for example this website: http://www.kleintierpension-aischfeld.de/bilder.php

That's what I exactly want to achieve.

Hi,

nutze deine Gallery schon auf mehreren Seiten und muss sagen, bisher hat sie keine Wünsche offen gelassen, ...bisher .

Wenn man zwangsweise Bilder größer darstellen lassen muss und der User aber eine kleinere Bildschirmanzeige hat, laufen die Bildränder beim User aus dem Bildschirm.

Zwar kann man nun mit den Pfeiltasten Hoch und Runter das Bild srollen, aber nicht nach links und rechts.

Intuitiv hatte ich als erstes mit dem Mausrad oder mit gedrückter Maustaste scrollen wollen.

Joah, das wär halt noch voll cool, da ich grade vor solchem Problem sitze .

Hallo,

ich bin ein totaler Neuling auf diesem Gebiet. Wie zu erwarten funktioniert es bei mir nicht.

PHP 5 und CD2 Unterstützung sind vorhanden.

Ich habe eine kleine Galerie angelegt unter http://www.767iservice.de/fotos/do_/galerie.html .
Der Pfad vom Script ist /fotos/script/
Das Album befindet sich im Verzeichnis /fotos/script/ki_galleries/sample/ .

Die Html habe ich nach der Beschreibung geaendert .

In der Datei ki_include.php habe ich Zeile 24 wie folgt geaendert:
$reldir = "/fotos/script/";

Die Galerie erscheint trotzdem nicht.

Für evtl. Hilfe wäre ich dankbar.

I'm looking for a good solution for my photography. I have founded your Image Gallery. I will try to use and itegrate with a very good and simple RazorCMS (flat database, simple, not need nasty MySql) - http://www.razorcms.co.uk

The problem is, that razorCMS must have "blades" for administration in the admin area - so it's will be a good idea to rewrite your beta gallery and integrate in RazorCMS admin area, as a blade pack.

Another good idea: can you rewrite ruby code on php code, and do something like this- Rhotoalbum: http://rhotoalbum.rubyforge.org/

The idea is very simple and fast: put directory structure with your photos, write on server with ruby: 'ruby rhotoalbum.rh' - it's something like one click, and generate full gallery- and you receive a nice look gallery in html - so, you can made your gallery in 5 minutes. I know, that we have minishowcase in php - but it looks better - java triptracker player there, is one of the best solution to display photography slideshow.

I'm looking for the same solution for php, because ruby in not instaled on all servers and instaling Ruby on Windows and made gallery localy on hard disk is not a good solution - blade pack for RazorCMS will be welcome too.

What do you think about that?

How can I change the ki_include.php to allow use of our images from our sub domains?

I like to take advantage of parallel downloads so I also have images in subdomains. For example: http://gallery.ourwebsite.com

Here is an article on it if you need more information as to the advantages:

The ki_include.php file sets image folder to _SERVER['PHP_SELF'];

How can I enter the location of the script / gallery? For example (subdomain): http://gallery.ourwebsite.com

We need to be able to enter our complete path (or at least append the subdomain to our url).

This will allow me to take full advantage of parallel downloads. This is useful when I have an already busy page and a gallery with 8+ thumbs showing on load.

habe das Verzeichnis unter /test/galerie/ko ins web kopiert.
Hoffe, alles nach Anweisung eingerichtet und 2 Ordner unter dem entsprechenden Verzeichnis - einmal Bilder und einmal thumb

wenn ich Bilder einbinde, habe ich eine graue Fläche und nix, im maximierten Modus das Zeichen für laden
binde ich thumb ein, habe ich zwanr keine thumbs zur Vorschau, aber es kann im maximierten Modus jedes Bild angeschaut werden.

Ist das eine Frage der Größe der Bilder? und wie genau muss uU der relative Pfad zur ---setup gesetz werden?

I don't wanna talk much about this new release. Most of the visual changes have been already shown in this thread.
More important than the usual bugfixes and cosmetical tweak is the new "Settings GUI" for editing configuration files online. It is much more comfortable to change settings online, than to edit the "ki_setup.php" file(s) by hand. Just give it a try and find out yourself. The "Settings GUI" can be found in the top left menu, when logged in as admin. One last thing i want to mention is the "next/last" picture preview animation. This little gem looks so wicked and perfectly exploits the unused space left and right of the main picture.

gallery does not follow division tags

I just upgraded from v1.81 to v2.2b. The slide show works correctly, I can click on a thumbnail and use the right/left arrows and play slideshow. However, the thumbnails now load in the upper left corner of the page instead of inside the division tag. It works the same in both IE8 and FF 3.5.7 The page was validated at http://validator.w3.org/ as an XHTML transistional 1.0 page. The link to the page is http://www.karensgarden.net/KGDPhoto.php
I attached the code for the page. I just realized my menu tabs do not work on the page after the thumbnails load (they are dynamic links written in php).

Auf XAMPP läufts nur auf meinem Webserver seh ich eine Leere Gallerie!

Even if I have a many lines of comment after the &... it is all removed. What is causing this? How can I fix this?
