Categories creation

I want to put multiple categories (albums) on one page. In order to automate categories creation actions I should write a script to do it. If there is any addition to this beautiful gallery to create categories online (create directories with custom name)?
It doesn't matter if it uses database or not. Using database (MySQL) "may" give opportunity to give categories description.

And if there is second part script - reading categories and it's description to display?

I was already thinking about giving the admin a possibility to create and remove new gallery folders online. This is on my todo-list for the next script version ... For sure there will be also an interface which will allow to call the corresponding php-function from some external php-file.

No - there is none. I just add some stuff to the script every now and then when I have some spare time left. But I promise it won't take that long ...
